The Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga and the Colección Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza have lent six works to two exhibitions taking place in Málaga.
They are Manuel Cabral Aguado Bejarano’s 'La reyerta' (1850) and 'Jaleando a la puerta del cortijo' (1854), Manuel Barrón y Carrillo’s 'Vista del puerto de Miravete, camino antiguo de Madrid' (1869), and Ángel María Cortellini’s 'El cante de la moza. Escena de taberna' (1846).
Organized around the Russian composer and the cultural world of the 19th century, the exhibition is curated by Pepe Zapata and includes nearly 100 works from national and international collections.
The Unicaja exhibition brings together more than 100 works in dialogue with musical instruments, spanning periods and styles and including artists such as Alonso Cano, José Ribera, Murillo, Picasso, Moreno Villa and Rafael Alberti. 'Y sonó la música' is scheduled to remain open until 2 November.
