Norman Rockwell Museum has announced ‘Imagining Freedom’, its first-ever virtual exhibition. The digital presentation brings together more than 250 artworks and objects across 10 galleries, extending access to audiences who cannot travel to Stockbridge.
Videos, archival materials, interviews, photographs, letters and historical documents are included to reveal the stories behind Norman Rockwell’s iconic works.
The exhibition’s stated focus is the narratives connected to Rockwell’s work, with the archival and multimedia elements serving that aim.
‘Imagining Freedom’ also includes exclusive multimedia content that was not available in the original traveling exhibition. Visitors can explore the 10 galleries from their screens, with the presentation bringing its artworks, objects and documentary materials into a single online exhibition.
