Morocco’s ambassador to Japan, Rashad Bouhlal, has visited a Hiroshi Sugimoto exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. The museum’s report documented Bouhlal in a photograph alongside Kitayama, identified in the caption as the museum’s director.
Sugimoto is a Japanese photographer and architect who leads the Tokyo-based architectural firm New Material Research Laboratory. A related notice from the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo discusses the catalogue for ‘Hiroshi Sugimoto: Extinction Photography’, which documents an exhibition at the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo. That publication records approximately 60 gelatin silver photographs spanning the artist’s career, from early work to the present.
Bouhlal viewed the Sugimoto exhibition and was pictured alongside MOMAT director Kitayama.
