Kumu will open the international group exhibition ‘ei algust ega lõppu. Saami maailma ülesehitamine’ on 11 September 2026. On view through 14 March 2027, the exhibition occupies the museum’s fifth-floor contemporary-art gallery in Tallinn.
The exhibition examines the complex path of Sámi Indigenous peoples’ rights and self-determination in building a decolonial world. Kumu is the main building of the Art Museum of Estonia and the country’s largest and most representative exhibition venue.
A public opening programme is scheduled for Saturday, 12 September, one day after the exhibition opens. It will include curator-led tours of the exhibition, a workshop in an education room created at its centre, and a discussion with participating artists.
