The Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice will host Professor Silvia Burini’s talk ‘Peggy Guggenheim, Vasily Kandinsky, and Marie Vassilieff: Artists, Encounters, and Dialogues at Guggenheim Jeune’ on 25 September 2026, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Curated by Burini, the event will return to the London gallery Peggy Guggenheim founded in 1938 and the figures who shaped its history of international art.
The lecture will also revisit Peggy Guggenheim’s role in promoting modern art and her contribution to the international art scene of her time. It forms part of ‘UniVerso: la ricerca si racconta’, an initiative organized by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
The talk will be held in Italian.
