The Museum of Fine Arts Boston has opened ‘Maverick Kings: Three Visionary Pharaohs of Egypt’s Golden Age,’ an exhibition exploring ancient Egypt’s 18th Dynasty through more than 100 works from the reigns of three pharaohs.
On view in the Ann and Graham Gund Gallery, the presentation offers a new way of encountering the museum’s collection of ancient Egyptian art. Its title foregrounds three rulers, while the exhibition’s scope is defined by works made during their reigns rather than by a single object or figure.
‘Maverick Kings’ opened on September 6, 2026, and runs through December 6, 2026, at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
