Museu de Maricel in Sitges will host ‘Miró-Rusiñol, viatge i evasió’ on 26 November 2026 at 6pm. Vinyet Panyella and Xavier Albertí will lead the dialogue, which will place the creative worlds of Joan Miró and Santiago Rusiñol in relation through travel and escape.
The event forms part of ‘Miró. Art i territori’, a programme organised by the Xarxa de Museus d’Art de Catalunya to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fundació Joan Miró. Twenty art museums across Catalonia will participate in the series between September and December.
Each session brings together two specialists from art, research, literature or philosophy to address a particular aspect of Miró’s work and thought. Across the programme, 40 specialists will contribute to dialogues connecting Miró’s legacy with the collections, narratives and areas of work of participating museums.
The series begins on 10 September at the Museu d’Art Modern de la Diputació de Tarragona and concludes on 12 December at the Museu Apel·les Fenosa. A publication will collect reflections and debates arising from the cycle.
