Kunst Museum Winterthur will present the second edition of ‘3 × 2: Fokus Winterthur’ with a three-week focus on artists Dave Bopp and Nicolle Bussien. The exhibition will open at Reinhart am Stadtgarten in Winterthur on 10 September 2026, with the presentation on view from 11 September through 4 October.
The 2026 format replaces the museum’s traditional December group exhibition with a sequence of three focused presentations. Each pairing brings together two artists with a connection to Winterthur or the surrounding region, giving their selected positions a more prominent presence in the cabinet room and foyer of Reinhart am Stadtgarten.
Bopp and Bussien form the second of the three pairings scheduled for the renewed series. The programme begins with Klodin Erb and Esther Mathis, whose presentation runs from 14 August to 6 September, and concludes with Reto Boller and Céline Brunko, shown from 9 October to 1 November. The museum has not provided further details about the works included in the Bopp and Bussien presentation.
The series develops a long-running local exhibition platform associated with the December exhibition. According to the museum, that programme has traditionally provided a venue for artistic production from Winterthur and the region. In recent years, its formats have included a juried exhibition shared by Kunsthalle Winterthur and Kunst Museum Winterthur, as well as an invitation-based focus exhibition presented at the museum.
The change in format is linked to construction work on the extension at Kunst Museum Winterthur | Beim Stadthaus. Rather than presenting a curated group exhibition there in 2026, the museum is showing selected positions at Reinhart am Stadtgarten with greater emphasis on each featured artist. The exhibition is curated by Konrad Bitterli and Andrea Lutz.
The opening reception for ‘3 × 2: Fokus Winterthur: Dave Bopp / Nicolle Bussien’ is scheduled for Thursday, 10 September, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Reinhart am Stadtgarten is located at Stadthausstrasse 6 in Winterthur and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
