The Musée Jenisch Vevey will present the work of Lou Cohen, recipient of the 2025 Alice Bailly Scholarship, and Eliot Möwes, recipient of the 2026 scholarship, in an exhibition running from 5 to 27 September 2026. The museum titles it ‘Lou Cohen et Eliot Möwes. Lauréat·e·s de la Bourse Alice Bailly 2025 & 2026’, and heads the English version of the page ‘Bourses Alice Bailly 2025 et 2026’. It will be shown at the Pavillon de l’estampe in Vevey, Switzerland.
The exhibition will place works by the two artists in dialogue with woodcuts by Alice Bailly (1872–1938). The pairing connects the scholarship’s support for emerging contemporary artists with the work of the Swiss artist whose name the foundation bears. The museum’s announcement does not specify the full selection of works by Cohen and Möwes, but credits examples including Cohen’s ‘Trompe œil 1’ (2026), a dry-pastel work on paper, and an untitled 2025 work by Möwes made with acrylic spray paint on wood panel.
The Alice Bailly Foundation has supported contemporary creation in French-speaking Switzerland since 1951. Its programme awards scholarships to young visual artists in the region. The Musée Jenisch describes its presentation of the scholarship recipients as part of its particular attention to the local art scene.
Marie Gaitzsch, the museum’s curator of fine arts, and deputy curator Pamella Guerdat are responsible for the exhibition’s curatorial oversight. The presentation will be inaugurated during the museum’s opening programme on Friday 4 September from 6:30pm, with addresses scheduled from Vevey municipal councillor Gabriela Kämpf, Musée Jenisch director Nathalie Chaix, Alice Bailly Foundation president Yves Trisconi, and the two scholarship recipients. The museum lists admission to the opening as free. It is closed from 24 August to 4 September while the exhibitions are installed.
Cohen and Möwes will also take part in a public meeting at the museum on 10 September from 6:30pm to 8pm. The event is listed as free and requires registration. It will provide an occasion to encounter the two artists in connection with the scholarship exhibition, which remains on view through 27 September.
The presentation coincides with the 2026 edition of Images Vevey, which runs from 5 to 27 September and includes six exhibitions hosted inside the Musée Jenisch. For the duration of the biennale the museum opens daily from 11am to 7pm with free entry. The museum’s separate programme also includes ‘The Wonder Way Project: Les labyrinthes et les mondes oubliés’, an exhibition by Emmanuelle Antille scheduled for 5 September to 4 October. The Alice Bailly scholarship exhibition, however, is confined to the 5–27 September period at the Pavillon de l’estampe.
