Mollbrinks will open Catarina Kylberg’s new exhibition ‘Det var en gång...’ during Kulturnatten.
The exhibition runs from 12 to 22 September, with a preview on 11 September from 14:00 to 18:00 and a vernissage on 12 September from 12:00 to 21:00.
Kylberg will attend the vernissage and meet visitors.
Her colorful, detailed paintings depict familiar Uppsala environments, people and everyday moments, with a playful shift toward fairy tale and fantasy.
Kylberg’s images are filled with small stories, inviting viewers to imagine what has happened and what may happen next.
Kylberg says she gathers ideas, people, environments and encounters for her paintings. She hopes viewers can lose themselves in a painting, discover new things and create their own stories.
