Ilmin Museum of Art has announced ‘Vibe Era,’ a group exhibition featuring artists Park Yerim, Park Jung-hye, Park Hyun-jung and Han Ji-hyung. The exhibition examines how abstraction and meaning emerge through the processes by which artists determine form.
According to the museum’s description, the four artists work through given images, bodily sensation, the physical properties of materials and technological tools. Each approaches these elements differently, allowing the relationship between perception, matter and technique to shape the resulting forms.
‘Vibe Era’ focuses on what remains during those processes rather than treating artistic decisions as fully resolved or predetermined. The exhibition identifies choice, delay, chance and failure as elements that can persist within the making of a work.
The curatorial premise proposes that these remnants do not simply interrupt the construction of an image or object. Instead, they participate in the production of new forms of abstraction and in the creation of meanings that were not fixed at the outset.
The announcement provides no exhibition dates, venue details beyond Ilmin Museum of Art, or further information about the individual works. It presents the exhibition as a consideration of how images, bodies, materials and technical instruments pass through distinct artistic practices before form takes shape.
