The Art Gallery of Western Australia in Perth is presenting ‘I AM: Aboriginal art from the State Art Collection’, an ongoing exhibition bringing together more than 60 works by First Nations artists from across Australia.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia will open ‘Chivalry is dead?’ on 5 September, bringing together works from its State Art Collection to examine the recurring appeal of medieval imagery.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia is presenting ‘Baked Goods’, a display of ceramic works from its State Art Collection that examines how objects move between utility, design and art.

Perth Museum will present Isaac Julien’s film-based artwork ‘Lessons of the Hour – Frederick Douglass’ (2019) from 9 October 2026 until 11 April 2027, as the first and only Scottish venue on the inaugural UK tour of ARTIST ROOMS, the touring collection of modern and contemporary art shared by Tate and the National Galleries of Scotland.

The Art Gallery of Western Australia will open ‘All the secrets are buried between the oceans and the mountains’ on 1 August, presenting the first solo exhibition by Western Australian artist Stormie Mills at an Australian state gallery.
