The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life at the University of California, Berkeley, will open ‘Nancy Lee Katz: A Private Pantheon’ on September 2, 2026, bringing together the photographer’s complete ‘Pantheon’ portrait project for the first time.

As the United States marks its 250th anniversary, the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life in Berkeley is using objects from its holdings to map Jewish history, art and culture onto the national story.
