Dolby Chadwick Gallery in San Francisco has circulated ‘Color Your Summer’, a seasonal selection of available works by eighteen of its artists, inviting subscribers to celebrate the season with works that, in the gallery’s words, “capture the joy of adventure and the beauty of the natural world”. It is an inventory mailing rather than a show: the gallery’s exhibition programme lists no exhibition of that title.
The selection spans painting, drawing, photography and mixed media. It opens with Zoey Frank’s ‘On the Cutting Board #7’ (2026, oil on paper on panel) and continues with Gwen Hardie’s ‘04.10.23, darkened reds on quin. violet’ (2023), Éric Antoine’s ambrotype ‘Tidy VII (Light)’ (2026), Jenifer Kent’s ink on claybord ‘Teasel’ (2026), Ann Gale’s ‘Portrait in Gold Shadow’ (2025), Megan J. Seiter’s coloured pencil and pastel ‘Demoiselle’ (2026), Stéphane Villafane’s ‘24.04.2026’ (2026) and Edwige Fouvry’s ‘Rocher à Kerel’ (2026) and ‘Ondine se promène’ (2025).
Also listed are Mayme Kratz’s resin panel ‘Summer Bloom Study 12’ (2026), made with poppy pods and seeds; Ian Kimmerly’s ‘Mimicry’ (2025); Gonzalo Fuenmayor’s charcoal ‘Carmen Exotica I’ (2026); two Emilio Villalba oils, ‘Self-Portrait with Michelle’ and ‘Michelle’ (both 2025); Jaq Chartier’s ‘Hover (Red/Green)’ and ‘Amber/Turquoise’ (2025); Louise LeBourgeois’s ‘Our Collective Breath, Waiting to Exhale #701’ (2025); Amanda Means’s ‘Light Bulb 19’ (2024); Ada Sadler’s ‘Train Chair #62’ (2026); Guy Diehl’s ‘Still Life with Ink Bottle’ (2026); and Katherine Tzu-Lan Mann’s ‘Stir in the Air’ (2025).
Several of the artists have shown at the gallery recently or are about to. On view until 22 August 2026 are ‘Jaq Chartier: Variations’ and ‘Jenifer Kent: Garden’, both of which opened on 9 July; ‘Ian Kimmerly: Some Quieter Melody’ follows from 3 to 26 September 2026.
