Henie Onstad Art Centre will turn its Høvikodden site into a daylong festival arena on 22 August 2026 with ‘Musikk på museet’, a program that combines concerts, museum admission and a long list of side activities. The event runs from 10:30 to 23:00, with the festival area opening at noon and the first concert beginning at 12:30.
The art centre says the festival is a collaboration between Bergtattfestivalen, Dapper and Henie Onstad Kunstsenter. According to the event page, the festival pass includes entry to the museum and exhibitions, with free access to the exhibitions until 20:00 for ticket holders. The outdoor festival area is set up beside the museum at Sonja Henies vei 31 in Høvikodden, overlooking the Oslofjord.
The lineup centers on a mix of live sets and DJ performances: Todd Terje, Kaja Gunnufsen, Hubbabubbaklubb, Flammer Dance Band, André Bratten, Emma Jensen and Nom de Guerre are all listed on the museum’s event page. In the newsletter material, Henie Onstad describes the day as extending beyond the stage, with visitors able to move between concerts, DJ sets and the museum’s exhibition spaces.
Alongside the music, the program includes yoga, wine tasting, an impro show, a quiz and other activities. The website names Terra Yoga Studio as the provider of the morning yoga session and Samvinlaget for the wine tastings. Food and drink will also be available on the grounds, including grill food, vegetarian options, snacks, sweets, beer, wine and alcohol-free alternatives.
The festival is presented as an all-ages daytime culture event with strict conditions. Henie Onstad states that ‘Musikk på museet’ has an 18-year age limit, although children under 12 may enter free when accompanied by an adult until 18:00. The page also notes that the event is cashless, accepts cards and Vipps, allows picnic blankets, and is held outdoors regardless of weather. Camping chairs, brought-in alcohol and other outside drinks are not permitted.
The museum’s own material also ties the festival to exhibition visits and guided tours. Public visitors with a festival ticket can attend selected tours during the day, including a tour of ‘Kai Fjell: Det gode seirer’ at 13:00 and a tour of ‘Merz! Flux! Pop!’ and ‘Lap-See Lam: Ombres’ at 14:00. The page says the exhibitions remain open until 20:00.
Practical information on the event page says the festival can be reached by bus 160 or local train to Blommenholm, with parking for about 200 cars at Høvikodden. The site is also listed as wheelchair accessible, with HC parking available and companion tickets accepted for visitors with a valid companion pass.
