IG Halle will present 'VOLLER LEBEN' at the Kunst(Zeug)Haus in Rapperswil from 6 September to 8 November 2026, bringing together work by Regula Syz, Susanne Hauser, Martin Reukauf, Janeth Berrettini and Haviva Jacobson. The exhibition frames its title as both an observation and a prompt, asking whether it is about being “full of life” or about living more fully, and situates that question across painting, drawing, objects and installation.
The project is listed by IG Halle as an exhibition in its regular programme at the Kunst(Zeug)Haus Rapperswil, where the organisation has been showing exhibitions since 2008. IG Halle describes itself as an independent association founded in 1992 in Rapperswil and guided by the motto “Kunst – Experiment – Diskurs.” The group says its exhibitions address personally resonant and socially relevant themes through contemporary art.
According to the exhibition text, the show ranges “from the fullness of human experience to sharpened perception,” and from the elemental force of water to possible unknown forms of life. The institution presents that breadth as a central thread linking the five participating artists, each of whom approaches living systems, material presence or perception from a distinct angle.
Regula Syz is represented through expressive painting and a practice that spans 50 years. IG Halle says her work reflects a sustained engagement with human reality, as well as social and spiritual questions. Martin Reukauf, by contrast, has been painting exclusively in the forest for nearly 20 years, a setting where shifting space and light inform his ongoing attempt to come closer to the diversity of what can be seen.
Susanne Hauser’s drawings point toward unexpected possibilities and forms of life, including planets yet to be discovered and hidden beings in the depths of the ocean, while also underscoring the uniqueness of Earth as the planet where life exists. Janeth Berrettini’s objects and installations incorporate water in its natural forms as rainwater or river water, and her working method is described by IG Halle as a way of seeing water differently, with greater respect.
Haviva Jacobson’s drawings and installations are presented as growing organically from a process of open-ended making, attentive observation and experimentation with a range of materials. In the exhibition text, IG Halle links her practice to structures of the living, suggesting a visual language shaped by process rather than predetermined form.
The exhibition is curated by Guido Baumgartner, with text by Judith Annaheim for IG Halle. A vernissage is scheduled for Sunday, 6 September at 11:30 at the Kunst(Zeug)Haus Rapperswil, with an introduction by Baumgartner and an apéro to follow. The organisation also lists related events during the run of the show, including a dance workshop on 11 September, a book launch for Regula Syz’s 'Raben unter uns' on 19 September, a workshop with Janeth Berrettini on 25 October, and a finissage with the artists on 8 November.
