The Galicia Contemporary Art Center (CGAC) in Santiago de Compostela is currently presenting three exhibitions, according to its exhibitions page, which lists the museum as open Tuesday through Sunday and free to enter. The current lineup includes solo presentations by Alexandra Ranner and Misha Bies Golas, alongside a group show drawn from the CGAC collection.
At the top of the programme is 'Alexandra Ranner. Rumor', on view from 13 March to 27 September 2026 in the Soto space. Curated by Piedad Solans, the exhibition is described as the artist’s first solo museum exhibition in Spain. The CGAC presents the show as a survey of Ranner’s practice from 2003 to the present, using works in several media including photography, sculpture, installation and video.
The center is also showing 'Misha Bies Golas', which runs from 22 May to 6 September 2026. The exhibition is split between the ground floor, where it appears from 22 May to 6 September, and the Dobre Espazo, where it appears from 12 June to 6 September. Curated by Juan de Nieves, the project is framed by the artist’s long relationship with the institution: the page notes that in the mid-1990s a young Misha Bies Golas, born in Lalín, Pontevedra in 1977, first discovered CGAC soon after it was founded in Santiago de Compostela.
The exhibition returns to that connection through a project said to condense more than two decades of research on historical avant-gardes. The museum describes that research as a field of tensions, displacements and unfinished processes. No further installation details are provided on the page, but the split venue dates indicate that the presentation unfolds across two areas of the museum over the summer.
Completing the current programme is 'Illa ignorada. Colección CGAC', which opens on 12 June 2026 and remains on view until 12 February 2027 on the first floor. Curated by Sara Donoso, the exhibition brings together works by Alberto Ardid, Abel Azcona, Vicente Blanco, Andrea Costas, Caxigueiro, Amparo Garrido, Regina Giménez, Fina Mantiñán, Juan Carlos Meana, Antoni Muntadas, Sonia Navarro, Iñigo Royo, Luis Seoane & María Elena Montero, Regina Silveira and Ariadna Silva Fernández.
According to the museum text, 'Illa ignorada' proposes a reflection on artistic creation as an exercise in resistance and questioning, using the intimate, private space and one’s own circumstantial framework as a way of mapping the common territory. The exhibitions page places all three projects within CGAC’s current schedule at Rúa Valle Inclán, 2, Santiago de Compostela, and notes the museum’s opening hours as 11 am to 8 pm, with Mondays closed.
