Ōtsuka Museum of Art in Naruto, Tokushima, has extended its QuizKnock collaboration campaign ‘Art Quiz Book’ until September 30, after the project’s original run was met with a positive response. The museum says the activity invites visitors to explore Western masterpieces through a keyword rally and a set of ten quizzes, turning gallery viewing into a guided puzzle trail across selected works in the collection.
According to the museum’s announcement, the campaign is being carried out with QuizKnock, the media platform led by quiz creator Takuji Izawa and known for combining entertainment and learning. The museum describes the project as a limited-time distribution of an ‘Art Quiz Book’ that encourages visitors to solve questions while looking closely at the artworks on display. The announcement frames the extension as a response to demand, with the new end date replacing the campaign’s earlier closing period.
The booklet is available at the underground third-floor information desk, and distribution is limited to 200 copies per day. The museum says it is a free, non-sale item, limited to one copy per person, and that supplies end when the day’s allocation is gone. The booklet is in A5 format and runs to 12 pages including the cover and back cover.
The activity combines the quiz book with a keyword rally. Visitors collect letters from panels placed in front of the featured works, then complete a word that leads to a special prize. Those who finish the keyword challenge correctly are eligible for a museum-made sticker, with 100 stickers given each day on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies run out. The museum notes that the sticker is also not for sale.
The campaign includes ten artworks from the museum’s displays, and the site specifically mentions Johannes Vermeer’s ‘Woman Playing the Guitar’ among the works represented in the booklet. The museum says the quiz book also includes short messages from QuizKnock members. After completing the route, visitors are invited to share their experience on social media using the hashtag #QuizKnockとめぐる大塚国際美術館.
Ōtsuka Museum of Art says the extended run covers the period from March 28 to September 30, excluding days when the museum is closed. The museum’s website lists opening hours as 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with ticket sales ending at 4 p.m., and notes that the museum is closed on Mondays except when a holiday falls on that day. The institution is located in Naruto Park in Tokushima Prefecture.
