Marian Goodman Gallery has announced a solo exhibition of new work by Tony Cragg at its New York space, opening on 10 September 2026 and continuing through 24 October 2026. The presentation will feature new sculptures in bronze, wood, stone and steel, according to the gallery’s exhibition page. An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, 10 September, from 6 to 8 pm.
The gallery describes the show as its first solo presentation of the British sculptor in its Tribeca space, at 385 Broadway, and its tenth solo exhibition with the artist. That count places the exhibition within a working relationship that has run across decades, and the gallery frames the new group of sculptures as a continuation of it.
The announcement keeps its emphasis on material range rather than theme. Bronze, wood, stone and steel are the four materials named, spanning traditional carving and casting alongside industrially worked metal — a combination consistent with Cragg’s long practice of testing how mass, surface and profile behave as a form is turned and stretched. The gallery has not released a checklist, catalogue or curatorial essay for the show.
One work has been circulated with the announcement: ‘Stroke’, 2024, a bronze measuring 135 by 85 by 43 cm (53 1/8 by 33 1/2 by 16 7/8 inches).
The Cragg exhibition was announced alongside a second New York solo show, by Edith Dekyndt, in the same gallery mailing. That mailing also illustrated a work by Annette Messager, ‘Histoire des oreillers III’, 1995–2026, without naming a venue or dates for it.
Marian Goodman Gallery lists two locations, at 385 Broadway in New York and 79 rue du Temple in Paris. The New York gallery is open Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm. The Cragg exhibition runs there from 10 September to 24 October 2026.
