Earls Court Gallery in Hamilton is presenting 'Symbols, Vessels, and the Stories', a group exhibition bringing together work by Lynne Gaetz, Karen Grosman and Marissa Y Alexander. The gallery says the exhibition focuses on symbolism and narrative, with the three artists working across painting, collage and ceramics. The show is listed as running until August 29 at the gallery’s Hamilton location.

The exhibition announcement positions the three artists as making work that uses symbols as a visual language. According to the gallery, each artist develops narratives that are “aesthetically beautiful” while also carrying “intricate connotations.” That framing places the exhibition within a broad conversation about how image, material and meaning can combine across different media, rather than limiting the work to a single style or technique.

Earls Court Gallery’s own artist pages help suggest the range of practices represented in the current exhibition programming. The gallery describes its roster as spanning painting, mixed media, sculpture, encaustic, ceramics and other forms, with many artists presented through individual portfolio pages. Within that context, 'Symbols, Vessels, and the Stories' fits the gallery’s emphasis on artist-led presentation and on work that can be viewed both online and in person.

The gallery’s message about the exhibition highlights the role of narrative in the selected works. Rather than presenting symbolism as an abstract idea alone, the statement ties it to material practice and to the viewer’s experience of story. The result is a three-artist exhibition in which meaning is built through visual form, and where the chosen media appear to matter as much as the images themselves.

Located at 215 Ottawa Street North in Hamilton, Earls Court Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the gallery closed Sundays, Mondays and long weekends, according to the site. The gallery also notes that the works on its website can be seen in person at the gallery, and that it regularly adds new works to artists’ portfolios.

The current exhibition is one of several offerings listed on the gallery site, alongside upcoming exhibitions including 'Wild Water' and 'By A Lady'. For now, 'Symbols, Vessels, and the Stories' remains the featured exhibition on the gallery’s homepage, with the online announcement identifying Lynne Gaetz, Karen Grosman and Marissa Y Alexander as the participating artists and August 29 as the final date listed for the run.
