AbrahamArt has announced a new sculpture by Bram Reijnders titled 'Mr. Positivo', presented as a royal welcome at Paleis Soestdijk. In the gallery’s wording, the work is described as more than a sculpture: it is a symbol of optimism, connection and perspective, and a piece that focuses on bringing people together. The announcement frames the installation as a celebration of Dutch society and of the positive influence that the Koninklijk Huis, according to Reijnders, still has on that society.
The news comes through AbrahamArt, the Eindhoven-based gallery and art-loan organization, which also operates a branch in Amsterdam. On its website, AbrahamArt positions itself as the largest gallery and art-uitleen in the Netherlands, with a broad selection of contemporary art, photography, pop art and abstract work. The gallery’s online artist page for Reijnders places 'Mr. Positivo' within a wider body of work that includes multiple versions of the title across different formats and editions.
The source material identifies the sculpture as an editioned work. The featured version of 'Mr. Positivo' is described as a painted resin sculpture in an edition of 25, measuring approximately 65 cm by 80 cm by 45 cm and priced at €9,500. AbrahamArt also lists a much larger editioned fiberglass version, approximately 218 cm by 250 cm by 142 cm, priced at €45,000. The artist page additionally shows other Reijnders works with the title 'Mister Positivo' or 'Mr. Positivo', indicating that the motif appears in different sizes and material versions within his catalogue.
Reijnders’ own artist statement on AbrahamArt outlines a practice built through accumulation, interruption and reconstruction. He says his works do not emerge all at once, but are made by collecting street billboards, cutting and rebuilding them, then painting, airbrushing, burning, destroying and remaking the surface layer by layer. In the same statement, he writes about a “filter bubble” in which truth has become a product, and says that in his recent work he presents a universe of youth icons and snapshots of everyday situations from different cultures set against thick layers of billboards taken from large cities.
Against that background, 'Mr. Positivo' appears as part of a practice that moves between urban imagery, popular symbolism and a carefully staged visual vocabulary. AbrahamArt’s announcement does not give a detailed account of the sculpture’s physical setting at Paleis Soestdijk beyond describing it as a welcome in the palace garden. It does, however, make clear that the work is presented as a public-facing symbol rather than as a purely private gallery object.
The gallery’s notice also points readers to its collections and contact options, including the possibility of a 'Proefplaatsing' for the sculpture. AbrahamArt lists its Eindhoven location at Stratumsedijk 79 and its Amsterdam location at Nieuwe Spiegelstraat 7, and says it is open daily in Eindhoven and Wednesday through Sunday in Amsterdam. The publication does not provide an exhibition duration or opening date for the Paleis Soestdijk presentation, but it does identify the sculpture, its editions, dimensions and price, alongside the setting in the palace grounds.
