Museo Casa Rusca in Locarno will open 'L'occhio dinamico. Traiettorie della percezione' on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, at 11 a.m., with the exhibition scheduled to run until 10 January 2027. The museum says the show will be presented on the opening day of the Locarno Film Festival and will bring together works by artists including Alberto Biasi, Gianni Colombo and Dadamaino, among others. The exhibition is curated by Marco Franciolli.
According to the museum’s description, 'L'occhio dinamico. Traiettorie della percezione' examines the relationship between vision, space and knowledge through more than half a century of artistic experimentation. The project ranges from Op Art and Arte Programmata to photographic research, anamorphosis and contemporary generative practices, tracing how perceptual processes contribute to the construction of reality. The exhibition presents looking as an active and constitutive act rather than a passive one.
The curatorial framework emphasises works that question the idea of immediate, objective sight. The museum describes the display as using optical devices, light variations, perspective shifts and unstable spatial configurations that involve the visitor directly. Perception is presented as a dynamic process in which observation and sensory experience work together in the production of meaning.

The institution says the exhibition brings together practices that place perception at the centre of artistic research, linking art, science and philosophy in a rigorous reflection on the mechanics of seeing and the conditions of the visible.
