Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon has announced two new limited editions, one by Dutch artist Joram Roukes and the other by UK-based duo Kai & Sunny. The releases, titled 'Blue Bull' and 'Mixed Motion', are presented as new additions to the gallery’s artist-editions programme and are available now through Underdogs’ online channels.

The gallery describes 'Blue Bull' as a reworking of one of Roukes’ original paintings, transformed into an edition through giclée printing, three layers of screenprint and hand-finishing. The composition centres on a blue bull, a red doberman and a small perch, with the figures arranged in a way that invites multiple readings. According to the source material, the work continues Roukes’ exploration of identity and the symbols that shape contemporary culture, while subtly reflecting on changing perspectives around masculinity.

'Blue Bull' is offered as an edition of 30, plus five artist’s proofs. It is printed on Velvet 270 g/m2 paper, measures 75 x 55 cm and is dated 2026. Each work is hand-finished, signed and numbered by the artist. The gallery’s product page also notes that the background has been transformed and that screen-printed interventions and hand-finished details bring the three protagonists into sharper focus.

Kai & Sunny’s 'Mixed Motion' takes a different formal route, using a hand-pulled four-colour screenprint. The gallery says the image develops through flowing lines and tonal transitions made through an intuitive process, moving between tension and release. The composition is framed as an exploration of rhythm, balance and the dynamic forces that shape perception, continuing the duo’s interest in abstract movement and visual cadence.

That edition is offered in an edition of 40, plus 10 artist’s proofs. It is signed and numbered by the artists, printed on 100% Cotton Somerset radiant white 410 g/m2 paper and measures 70 x 50 cm. Like Roukes’ edition, it is dated 2026 and is being sold through Underdogs’ shop.

The announcement sits within Underdogs’ wider activity as a Lisbon-based cultural platform that works with contemporary artists across gallery, public art, commissions and edition production. The gallery’s website says it was established in 2010 and consolidated in its present form in 2013, and that it works with Portuguese and international artists connected to an urban-inspired contemporary art universe. Its address is Rua Fernando Palha, Armazém 56, 1950-132 Lisbon, with opening hours Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm to 7pm.

The email that introduced the editions also flagged a separate exhibition by Manuela Pimentel, 'Eis-me, sou uma poeta, irei ao entardecer', noting that it brings together painting, collage and installation and uses weathered street posters, acrylic paint, found materials and layered compositions inspired by the visual language of the Portuguese azulejo. That exhibition is listed as on view until August 15, with the gallery pointing readers to an online viewing room for the full selection of works and the exhibition-related limited edition.
