Bottleneck Gallery is putting a new round of pop-culture edition releases on sale today, with Tom Whalen’s ‘TMNT’ enamel pins joining new Godzilla-inspired works by Karl Fitzgerald and Drew Wise. The limited items go live at 12 PM ET on the Bottleneck Gallery website, according to the gallery’s newsletter.
The release pairs two of the most durable screen-era franchises in recent popular art: the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ and Godzilla. In the newsletter, Bottleneck frames the sale as a celebration of “mean and green” imagery, with Whalen’s pins focusing on Leo, Casey Jones and Bebop, and the Godzilla prints drawing from both ‘Godzilla Minus One’ and ‘Shin Godzilla’.
Whalen’s pin set comes in soft enamel and measures about 1.34 inches each. The newsletter lists the characters individually as Leo, Casey Jones and Bebop, with dual rubber clutch backing and a printed backing card. Each pin is limited edition and priced at $15, or $45 for the set.
Fitzgerald’s ‘Godzilla Minus One’ appears in two formats. One is a 24 x 36-inch screen print in a hand-numbered edition of 150, priced at $60. The second is an acrylic panel print, also 24 x 36 inches, made with archival pigment on a 4mm-thick acrylic panel. That version includes a digital numbered certificate of authenticity issued by Verisart and is limited to 35, priced at $125.
The newsletter describes Fitzgerald’s work as an alternative movie poster shaped by the film’s sense of solitude and scale, with the giant creature contrasted against a small boat and an aquatic color palette. Wise’s ‘Shin Godzilla’ is presented as a stark screen print measuring 18 x 24 inches, hand-numbered in an edition of 100 and priced at $45.
All three artists have worked in Bottleneck’s orbit before, and the sale continues the gallery’s regular mix of officially unlicensed or alternative-format character and film imagery that it offers through its online platform. In this case, the emphasis is squarely on collectible editions: enamel pins on one side, and screen prints and acrylic panel prints on the other.
The sale opens today at noon Eastern time and runs through the day on Bottleneck Gallery’s homepage.
