Pérez Art Museum Miami is giving viewers one last week to watch 'Fragments of Time', a video art presentation from its PAMMTV streaming service that closes on July 27, 2026. The museum describes the program as an exploration of how memory connects fleeting moments to the ongoing formation of the self.

The project, titled 'Fragments of Time: Selections from PAMM’s Collection', draws on five video works from the museum’s permanent collection. According to the museum, the selection considers the passage of time, the nature of memory and humanity’s search for meaning through moving-image work. The program is available free online through PAMMTV, PAMM’s streaming service for video art.

PAMMTV is presented by Pérez Art Museum Miami as a platform for video art from South Florida, Latin America, the Caribbean and the African Diaspora. The museum says the service is intended to democratize access to contemporary video art and that all videos and exhibitions on the platform are free to watch. The current selection is also shown in PAMM’s auditorium, with the exhibition page listing dates from July 23, 2025, through July 27, 2026.

The five works included in 'Fragments of Time' are Elizabeth Cerejido in collaboration with Mark A. Koven’s 'Absence Series: Rocking Chair' (2002), Autumn Casey’s 'Elysian Fields' (2014), Glenda León’s 'Canalización' (2014), Hernan Bas’s 'Fragile Moments' (2003), and Jack Strange’s 'Into a Puff of Virtual Smoke' (2008). PAMM links those works to themes that include Alzheimer’s disease, shared cultural memory, the erosion of innocence and the fragility of memory in the digital era.

In the museum’s description, 'Absence Series: Rocking Chair' and 'Elysian Fields' are connected to Alzheimer’s disease, while 'Canalización' addresses shared cultural memory. 'Fragile Moments' is tied to the erosion of innocence, and 'Into a Puff of Virtual Smoke' to memory’s vulnerability in digital life. The exhibition text says the works together invite reflection on how remembered and forgotten moments shape human experience.

The project is organized by Fabiana A. Sotillo, PAMM Curatorial Assistant. PAMMTV is produced by Lauren Monzón, Program Manager New Media. PAMM also credits Nathalia Bolivar, Mariana Dias, Michaela Blanc, Edlando Eliacin, Mehïka Dorval and Aída Cantú Artigas for support with production, scholarship, closed captioning and translations.

PAMM notes that its project galleries and digital initiatives are funded in part by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The museum’s page for 'Fragments of Time: Selections from PAMM’s Collection' states that all exhibitions and videos on PAMMTV are free to watch, with the closing date set for July 27, 2026.
