The auction is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, at 10 a.m., with lots 1–243.
The sale follows Barbetta’s closure in 2026 after 120 years.
The collection includes Continental furniture, decorative arts, artwork and memorabilia from Barbetta, the celebrated New York restaurant, as well as property from the Park Avenue apartment of its longtime owner, Laura Maioglio.
It brings together the sumptuous interiors of Barbetta and the more intimate setting of Maioglio’s Manhattan home, offering through her cultivated eye a glimpse of the extraordinary spaces she created around her.
The objects offered in ‘Barbetta: The Laura Maioglio Collection’ were carefully curated over a lifetime. From Barbetta’s celebrated dining rooms to the elegant interiors of her Park Avenue apartment, each piece speaks to Maioglio’s discerning eye and love of hospitality; together, they preserve her legacy and the enduring legend of Barbetta.
The auction’s public exhibition will be held at Doyle New York, 175 East 87th Street, from October 24 through October 26, with viewing hours from noon to 5 p.m. each day.
