The Brandywine Museum of Art is continuing its summer family programming with 'Museum Explorers: All About Andrew,' a drop-in event scheduled for Thursday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to noon. The program is part of a weekly Thursday-morning series running from July 9 through July 30, designed for children ages 2 to 10 accompanied by an adult.
According to the museum, families are invited to explore the galleries through scavenger hunts and creative art projects that can be made and taken home. Registration is encouraged, though the event is described as drop-in, with participants welcome to come between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to take part. The cost is $6 per person for adults and children ages 2 and up, while Brandywine members and children under 2 are admitted free; the fee includes museum admission.
The Brandywine has framed the 'Museum Explorers' series as a hands-on way for families to discover “new treasures in art and nature” over the course of the month. The July 30 session is titled 'All About Andrew,' aligning with the museum’s emphasis on the Wyeth family and the institution’s broader focus on American art and the surrounding landscape.
The event is one of four Thursday programs in the series. The museum lists the earlier sessions as 'Art Adventures' on July 9, 'Lovely Landscapes' on July 16, and 'Picture Perfect' on July 23, each built around gallery exploration and a related art-making activity. The July 30 program concludes the monthly run.
Brandywine Museum of Art, part of the Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art, is located in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. The museum’s event listing gives the full address as 1 Hoffman's Mill Road, P.O. Box 141, Chadds Ford, PA 19317, and identifies the program as taking place at the museum itself.
For families looking to attend, the museum says questions can be directed to [email protected] or to Liesl Mahoney, Associate Educator for School & Family Programs, at 610-388-8382. 'Museum Explorers: All About Andrew' is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon.
