PAM CUT is bringing Alejandro González Iñárritu’s 'Amores Perros' back to Portland screens through a partnership with MUBI. The theatrical rerelease is scheduled for Friday, July 17, at Tomorrow Theater, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the film beginning at 7 p.m. The event is listed as a 154-minute Spanish-language screening, with tickets priced at $15.
According to the event listing, the screening is presented as an “iconic rerelease” of the 2000 film, which is identified on the page as directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. The description on the theater’s site outlines the film’s intertwining stories: a teenager who risks everything to run away with his brother’s wife, a model who loses everything after moving in with her lover, and a homeless man confronting the ghosts of his past. The summary frames those narratives as revealing human chaos, cruelty and tenderness.
The partnership extends beyond the screening itself. Attendees will receive access to 60 days of MUBI at mubi.com/pamcut, and MUBI tote bags will be available while supplies last. The theater’s event page also points viewers to accessibility information for Tomorrow Theater, which is located at 3530 SE Division St. in Portland.
PAM CUT’s email announcement places the screening within a broader summer collaboration with MUBI. In that newsletter, the organization says it is “thrilled to team up with MUBI” and describes 'Amores Perros' as a landmark film that “revived the Mexican film industry and set a new standard for international cinema.” The email also positions the program as part of PAM CUT’s effort to bring “adventurous, boundary-pushing storytelling” to Portland audiences.
MUBI’s own promotional page for the partnership describes the film as a “combustible debut feature” and says it “charged out of the gates” for Iñárritu. The streaming service’s page for the offer presents the collaboration as “60 Days of Cinema,” giving participants two free months of hand-picked films and featuring 'Amores Perros' as the highlighted title.
Tomorrow Theater’s event page lists MUBI as the presenter and includes the film’s runtime and language details, along with ticketing information. The screening is marked as “Not Currently Showing” on the site at the time of publication, but the scheduled date remains July 17, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Tomorrow Theater in Portland.
