National Museum of Fine Arts Celebrates Edgardo Giménez’s Birthday With ‘Cupido’

Mimmo Rotella was born in Catanzaro in 1918. Rotella is described as a reference in Italian pop art and Informalism.

Dated 1887, the painting is described as the first avant-garde painting in Argentine art. Eduardo Sívori, identified as an artist and teacher, was born in Buenos Aires in 1847.

‘Magdalena’ was donated to the museum by Elena Ana Margarita Berni, known as Lili. The work belongs to a group of Antonio Berni’s crucifixion paintings created during the 1980s.

'Susana Rodríguez. Historia íntima' is a new temporary exhibition coming to Bellas Artes. The exhibition brings together 40 works by an Argentine artist, including prints, drawings and collages.
