An installation of framed artworks has recently been added to the Visible Storage presentation.

The works offer another perspective on the artistic and visual culture surrounding the Fairs.

Together with the objects on view, these works invite visitors to consider how the World’s Fairs shaped and continue to shape ideas about the future.

The Visible Storage presentation draws on objects related to both the 1939–1940 and 1964–1965 New York World’s Fairs.

The World’s Fair Collection presents more than 900 objects selected from the collection of memorabilia of the 1939–40 and 1964–65 World’s Fairs.

The building originated as the New York City Building and was the city’s official pavilion for both World’s Fairs.
