Bringing together more than thirty works, including works reproduced in the journal, the display places Picasso in dialogue with Henri Rousseau, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Max Ernst.

Founded in 1926 by Christian Zervos, described by the museum as Picasso’s publisher and close friend, ‘Cahiers d’art’ played a decisive role in disseminating and securing recognition for Picasso’s work, the museum says, helping shape views of modernism throughout the 20th century.

The conversation is intended to echo the presentation in room 4 of the permanent-collection parcours, which addresses ‘Cahiers d’art’s’ role in establishing Picasso’s work as a cornerstone of modernism.

It will be followed by a signing of ‘Cahiers d’Art: 100 years of modernism’, edited by Daniel Birnbaum and Cécile Debray.
