The exhibition ‘Water A & Ω’ concluded at the Telloglion on Wednesday, 30 September, with a presentation of the awards and commendations associated with the sixth Panhellenic Painting Competition held in memory of Loukas Venetoulis.
From 15 July, it presented a total of 48 works by young artists, addressing water as both a source of life and a destructive force in relation to the challenges posed by climate change.
The competition’s theme also approached water through natural, symbolic, spiritual and mythological dimensions, connecting the subject with the challenges of the contemporary era and with climate change.
The audience prize went to Katerina Sarisavva for ‘End of free trial’, a work recognized through the public award. The competition also awarded commendations to Eleni-Efthymia Kourtídou, Vasilis Chachalis and Giorgos Taxidis. Loukas Venetoulis’s wife presented the award to the winner.
