During the exhibition, from 20 October to 14 November, the gallery will hold daily screenings at 4pm downstairs in its basement, showing a selection of Tacita Dean’s 16mm films.
In conjunction with the gallery exhibition, Dean and Nauman will also present ‘Hand On’ as part of ‘Next Door’ at Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, beginning on 9 October.
Since the early 1990s, Dean has produced work across many mediums, including drawing, printmaking and photochemical film. From the mid-1960s onwards, Nauman has continually pushed the boundaries of traditional artistic practice through his exploration of the body, language and performance.
The exhibition is accompanied by a booklet containing the long version of a conversation between Dean and art historian Hal Foster about the two recent collaborative films by Dean and Nauman.
