Iris Osterman’s latest solo exhibition, ‘Selected Work,’ runs at Bowery Gallery from October 6 through October 31, 2026, with an opening reception scheduled for October 10 from 3–6 p.m.
The exhibition features paintings spanning five years and returns to Osterman’s subject of the New England shoreline.
Based on sketches and photographs made from nature, the oil paintings evoke the granite-edged landscape through rhythmic, calligraphic lines, light, and color.
The works include ‘Rock Face,’ an oil-on-canvas painting dated 2020; ‘By Penobscot Bay,’ an oil-on-canvas painting dated 2024; ‘Ocean Ledge,’ an oil-on-canvas painting dated 2025; and ‘Coast Study 1,’ an oil-on-canvas painting dated 2026.
