The Graphische Sammlung ETH Zürich has announced '(Un)Sichtbar. Menschen mit Behinderung in der Kunst', running from 2 December 2026 to 7 March 2027, with its opening on 1 December.
The exhibition approaches disability not as a medical category but as a cultural, social and aesthetic concept, asking how art makes disability visible and whether changes can be identified in visual language and authorship.
It notes that, recently, artists have incorporated their disabilities into their art and made them a central motif, alongside an apparent new appreciation both for the art and for who produces it.
The British artist Nnena Kalu is mentioned as the first autistic person with a learning disability to win the Turner Prize, in 2025.
Jacques Callot's 'Blinder und sein Hund' is sheet 22 of the series 'Die Bettler' and is dated 1622/1623.
