FREIES KINO will present ‘Hubert Sielecki – Kurze Filme aus 57 Jahren’ on 29 September 2026 at 20:00 at Stadtkino im Künstlerhaus. The programme includes films made between 1969 and 2026.
Admission is free; no advance registration is required, and tickets are available at the Stadtkino box office.
Sielecki is described as an Austrian artist and film director known especially for experimental works and animated films. His film practice consists mainly of auteur films, in which he usually handles the production process himself. That process extends from scriptwriting to composing the music himself, and he frequently works with prominent Austrian artists and writers.
The programme includes four works made by Sielecki with Gerhard Rühm in 2007: ‘Lautgedicht’, ‘Ungleiche Brüder’, ‘Zahlengedicht’ and ‘Im Noankastl’. It also includes the 2026 collaboration ‘Levitation’ by Rühm and Sielecki.
The named collaborations include Maria Lassnig, Gerhard Rühm, Wolfgang Mitterer, Karin Spielhofer, Jochen Kuhn and Pavel Novotny.
