Henry Moore Studios & Gardens will offer a curator-led ‘Sculpture Gardens Tour’ on 29 July 2026, continuing a monthly programme that invites visitors to explore the artist’s outdoor works and the landscape in which they are shown. The one-hour tour is scheduled from 15:00 to 16:00 and is included in an annual ticket. According to the foundation’s listing, the session is part of the Henry Moore Studios & Gardens research programme 2026.

The tour will be led by curators and archive staff, who will meet visitors outside the Visitor Centre at the Perry Green site in Hertfordshire. The event description says the tour covers the twenty-one sculptures on display across the grounds and is designed as an informal introduction to Moore’s process, the stories behind the works, and their inspiration and concepts. The foundation says the guided tours take place on the last Wednesday of every month during the 2026 visitor season.

The July date is one of five summer and autumn tours listed for the year. Additional tour dates are scheduled for 26 August, 30 September and 21 October, following an earlier session on 24 June. The same listing gives the venue for all dates as Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Hertfordshire, and notes that entry is included in an annual ticket, with no booking required.

Henry Moore Studios & Gardens is presenting the tour alongside a broader 2026 programme built around the artist’s former home, studios and grounds. The site describes itself as the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of Henry Moore’s work, set within the landscape the sculptor shaped and used during his lifetime. Its 2026 visitor season runs from 1 April to 25 October, with opening hours Wednesday to Sunday and Bank Holidays from 11:00 to 17:00.

The tour also sits within a season that includes permanent and changing displays in the newly opened Sheep Field Barn. Among the listed presentations is ‘The Art and Life of Henry Moore’, which the foundation describes as an exhibition of over eighty sculptures made between 1922 and 1986, together with photographs and archival materials from the Henry Moore Foundation Collections. A separate 2026 display focuses on ‘Shelter Drawings’, which the site identifies as works created during the Second World War and among the most powerful and widely recognised in Moore’s career.

Alongside the tour, the summer programme at Studios & Gardens includes a range of workshops and family activities. These include ‘Collaborative Carving’ from 29 to 31 July, the birthday event ‘You’re invited: a creative family celebration for Henry Moore’s birthday’ on 30 July, and ‘Summer Makers’ throughout August. All are listed as part of the site’s ticketed offer unless otherwise stated.

The ‘Sculpture Gardens Tour’ is set to begin at the Visitor Centre and run from 15:00 to 16:00 on 29 July, with further monthly dates extending through October at Henry Moore Studios & Gardens in Perry Green.
