Pauline Koffi Vandet has been selected as the second participant in the EMMA–Saastamoinen Curatorial Fellowship by EMMA – Espoo Museum of Modern Art and the Saastamoinen Foundation.
Vandet will work at EMMA for six months, researching the Saastamoinen Foundation’s art collection, while also developing an independent research project alongside the museum’s curatorial team.
The three-year programme invites one international curator each year to work with the Saastamoinen Foundation’s collection, bring new perspectives to collection-based research and exhibition-making, and build connections with Finland’s contemporary art field.
She is particularly interested in photography, moving image and media art.
EMMA describes the Saastamoinen Foundation’s collection as one of Finland’s significant modern and contemporary art collections.
