The new season includes ‘Adventures in Shapesville,’ inspired by Elizabeth Murray’s ‘Do the Dance’; ‘The Tale of the Golden Egg,’ inspired by Constantin Brancusi’s ‘Bird in Space’; and ‘A Trip to Upside-Down World,’ inspired by Marc Chagall’s ‘I and the Village.’

The series records kids looking at works of art, then an animator brings their unique vision to life. It uses works of art in MoMA’s collection as a jumping-off point for children to imagine, play, seek adventure, and create worlds.

In ‘Adventures in Shapesville,’ friends Liane and Teddy find a portal to Shapesville, where they turn into random shapes and discover a world underground before returning to the real world. Inspired by Elizabeth Murray’s painting ‘Do the Dance,’ the episode was brought to life by KLIMPA, comprising Robert Löbel and Max Mörtl.

In ‘The Tale of the Golden Egg,’ Musa and Jaxon travel on the back of a bird to an island inhabited only by animals, where they uncover a secret egg and race to protect it from a predator. Inspired by Constantin Brancusi’s 1923 sculpture ‘Bird in Space,’ the episode was brought to life by Katarzyna Kijek and Przemysław Adamski.

Each new episode is three minutes long, and viewers can pause on the artwork at the end to tell or draw their own unique story. Created for children, the series includes original animation, sound design, and music.

The first season won a Webby for Best Animated Series and a Gold Telly Award for Film & Shorts: Kids & Families, and was a Prix Jeunesse finalist.
