Museum London has announced Shad as the first artist in its new Musician-in-Residence programme.
The year-long residency is scheduled to launch this fall.
It will bring together music, memory, storytelling and community through performances, public programmes, educational initiatives and creative projects.
During the residency, Shad will work with Museum London’s collections, exhibitions, staff and community to explore how the places people call home shape their identities and the stories they carry with them.
The programme is funded by the Paul Seed Fund at the London Community Foundation and TD Bank Group, with additional support from the Cambia Development Foundation and the London Music Office.
