A 8 September update has documented Do Ho Suh’s installation in progress, ‘Perfect Home: London, Horsham, New York, Berlin, Providence, Seoul’. Its title names six cities in which the artist has lived.
The work draws on approximately 30 rooms across those cities. The update identifies a set of household objects reproduced for the installation: light switches and electrical outlets; door handles and locks; boiler controls and lights; faucets and wall-mounted telephones. The account specifies neither individual rooms nor the arrangement of the reproduced objects.
MMCA Seoul is presenting an exhibition of the artist’s work from 27 August 2026 through 9 February 2027. The museum has described that presentation as a large survey spanning early works and projects still in progress.
MMCA Seoul’s announcement characterises Suh’s practice through questions of home, movement, memory and identity. The survey is organised around migration and dwelling, as well as space, memory and identity.
