Dr Alison Halsall, the first Lewis Carroll Visiting Fellow, has delivered ‘Lewis Carroll: Early Transmedial Storyteller’, a talk now available to watch as a recording.
The presentation asks how Lewis Carroll and John Tenniel pioneered storytelling through words and images. Its title identifies Carroll as an early transmedial storyteller, while the talk’s stated question keeps both Carroll and Tenniel at the centre of that inquiry.
Halsall explored the question through Oxford’s Carroll collections. The collections provide the basis for her Visiting Fellow talk, which addresses Carroll and Tenniel’s role in storytelling through words and images.
