Yoko Ono’s ‘Inner Voice and Inner Structure’ is on view at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum through 27 December 2026. Announced in Turkish as ‘İçses ve İçyapı’, the presentation is supported by Akbank.
Ono is a Japanese artist, musician and peace activist whose work also encompasses performance art and filmmaking.
A separate 2026 archive presentation examining Ono’s experimental practice has foregrounded ‘Grapefruit’, first published in 1964. The book is described there as an influential book of instructions and is among the rare materials selected for that archive-focused programme.
For ‘Inner Voice and Inner Structure’, the museum has identified a particular ambition in Ono’s works: they aim to make the viewer part of the process.
