Sara Ogawa has reflected on Mako Idemitsu’s representative work ‘Woman’s Work’, describing the anger that welled up as she confronted it.
For Ogawa, that anger was a positive energy: one that liberates the self from “woman” to “me.” She wrote that Idemitsu’s work makes her believe that art can move people and society.
