The Getty Museum has shared a social-media post comparing an unidentified painting to Claude Monet’s customs houses.
“ If you removed all sense of light, texture, and hope from Monet’s customs houses, this might be what you get,” the post reads. “Cartoonishly flat. A painting that punishes sustained looking.”
