‘There is No Pink’, a group exhibition, opens at FIFTY ONE TOO in Antwerp on 5 September and runs through 31 October 2026.
The exhibition brings together Nathalie Boutté, Erika Cotteleer, Katrien De Blauwer, Arpaïs Du Bois, Harry Gruyaert, William Klein, Romain Laprade, Saul Leiter, Vivian Maier, Bruno V. Roels, Mark van den Brink, Michael Wolf, Jan Yoors and Dirk Zoete.
Its premise turns on the colour pink: every work in the exhibition contains pink, while none contains pink. The exhibition text describes pink as having no wavelength and no single frequency of light perceived by the eye, calling it a colour invented by the brain.
Works pictured in connection with the exhibition include Harry Gruyaert’s ‘USA, Nevada, Las Vegas’ (1982); Jan Yoors’s ‘Untitled’ (1977); Bruno V. Roels’s ‘I Woke Up Like This’ (2026); and Michael Wolf’s ‘#20, HK pink, MFT group’ (2014).
An opening is scheduled for Saturday 5 September, from 2 to 6 pm. FIFTY ONE TOO is located at Hofstraat 2, 2000 Antwerp.
