The Matsuoka Museum of Art in Tokyo has announced a change to its current display, with the first-period presentation ending on August 16 and four new works scheduled to go on view from August 18.

The museum said that Camille Pissarro’s ‘Shepherdess’ and Louis Valtat’s ‘By the Riverside’ are among the works available only through August 16. The announcement did not identify the other works being removed.

The replacement group will include a work by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, alongside three other newly displayed works. The museum did not provide the titles of the new works or specify which Renoir painting will be presented.

In its announcement, issued through its official account, the museum noted that the exhibition period had entered its latter half and encouraged visitors not to miss the changing presentation. The update is directed at visitors planning their visit around the transition between the two displays.

The first-period works remain on view through August 16, while the four new works, including the Renoir, are scheduled to appear from August 18 at the Matsuoka Museum of Art in Tokyo.
