Piet Mondrian

Piet Mondrian, originally named Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan, was a Dutch painter and art theoretician. He is considered one of the greatest artists of the 20th century and was a pioneer of abstract art. Mondrian's artistic style evolved from figurative painting to a simplified form based on geometric elements.
