Paja Jovanović

Paja Jovanović was a Serbian realist painter known for his historical and portrait works. He created over 1,100 pieces, including notable paintings such as The Wounded Montenegrin and The Takovo Uprising. Jovanović was recognized as a leading European portraitist after 1905, painting prominent figures including Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria multiple times. His works are held in various European and international museums under different names.
