Morris Louis

Morris Louis Bernstein, known as Morris Louis, was an American painter active during the mid-20th century. He was one of the earliest artists associated with Color Field painting in the 1950s. Louis was part of the Washington Color School, a collective of artists based in Washington, D.C., including Kenneth Noland.
